Len Doherty has been a retainer-based executive recruiter and staffing consultant since 1983. Since founding L.J. Doherty & Associates in 1991, he has conducted a variety of assignments across all major functional disciplines for clients ranging in size from Fortune 50 to early stage and investor-backed start-ups. Targeted industry segments include technology, financial services, and cybersecurity.

Previously, Len was a principal with two boutique-sized search firms (Gustin Partners and Ingoldsby Associates) in the Boston area where he focused primarily on technology and manufacturing assignments.

Prior to entering the retained search field, Len directed staffing activities for a major division of Honeywell Information Systems. While at Honeywell, he designed and conducted basic and advanced interview skills workshops for hiring managers. He also set up and co-managed two innovative outplacement centers which assisted hundreds of laid-off employees.

Len’s earlier career includes manufacturing management and human resources positions with Honeywell and two small technology-related companies in the Boston area.

His academic background includes BS Business Administration (magna cum laude) and MBA degrees from Boston College.
